What a great start to the weekend................

This crafter is not crafting!

Confession time is upon me and I must let it be known, I don't get around to crafting as often as I'd like.

There's such contentment and relaxation in making things.....when things are going swimmingly that is! 

Sadly I have not had the time lately and I'm cranky when I can't get a bit of crafty down time. 

However, when I do get a moment I will be getting my craft on with Pip

November is the time that men's health is in the spotlight with Movember. Consequently there's is no shortage of funny looking moustaches around. 

My week has kicked off with a load of baking.....

We are hosting a Bake Sale to raise funds for the Mo Mo Sapiens team at work.  

I hope the 48 cupcakes and 71 moustache biscuits will have peeps diving into their pockets to help out.

I have also decided to sport a mo' for the sale.....a stick on one of course!

Sunday too soon....

Our weekend has been a fun one. We indulged in some family op- shopping fun. Number 2 wears strictly Cotton On, Supre and any other mass produced low quality company that teens go mad for. However she was really into finding funky stuff and items that no one else would be wearing. I witnessed her light bulb moment. 
She was super happy to get some cool things. 


There was also donuts, a picnic, happy pets, movies, garage sales, sleep-overs and head banging at Battle of the bands.

December draws near

2011 is heading its close, which gets me thinking....... CHRISTMAS!!!!!

I had a bit of downtime yesterday to look at a few things for inspiration, gift ideas and to all round get the Christmas vibe flowing.

Rad road trips and other cool stuff

This week was the R-adelaide road trip to attend an old school kind of concert.

There were lots of interesting sights, amazing outfits and that was before we entered the venue!!

Of course number 2 was very excited as the tickets were her 14th Birthday present

1000 journals

 Today I've watched the documentary 1000 journals project, it is so cool that it started with one Someguy (that is his name, I didn't forget!) who had an idea and has touched people all across the world.


It got me thinking what would I write? How much of it would be filled? Would I reveal something to the world in it? Or just draw a picture?


I find writing in a new journal is overwhelming, all those empty white pages are needing your thoughts, feelings and experiences to fill them. It takes a while to get used to I guess.
I'm off to write in my journal and have a cup of tea

I am a firm believer in the Universe looking out for us, the good old ask the Universe scenario thingy. Well yesterday the Universe gave up the goods! Maybe as a due reward for the crap-ola time I've had this week.

All I need would be some craft, a pot of tea and a book.  

Today is a crap day for me, I am feeling unwell 

and a little buried in life's not so great bits. 

I am pretty good at being mostly chipper but not so much 

today. 

           Oh well...there's always tomorrow. 

But for now there's Neko Case, cuddles from the kitties, writing 

and looking at Make hey while the sun shines.

Also number 3 painted my toe nails sunshine yellow - that helped

Birthday Boy of mine

Today my boy is turning 15. Wow the time goes by so quickly. 
I am so proud of the gentle and beautiful natured young man he has become. He is sharing his special day by Motorbike riding with his mates. Enjoy your special day sweetheart and relish in being 15, it really is a great time in your life.
