Brother - Little Birdy, turn it up!

My Brother has been having  a tough time. I have played this song often lately.
Need to cheer up? Miss your Brother? Wish you had one? All that harmonica, tambourine, guitar and great vocals will do the trick.  Make sure it is LOUD!
Dance about and enjoy.... Funk up your Friday x

Happy Birthdays to the lovelies!

                                                 Pinterest

A special Happy Birthday to all the lovely
people who celebrate their Birthday this week and next.
We have quite a few in our friend circle....so just to name them Happy Birthday to Shell, Alex, Cars,Sarah, Leanne and Mark xxxxx Celebrate how ever you see fit.

There have been so many Birthdays this month!
What do you like for your Birthday? A cake made with love? Dinner with family and friends?
For my next one I'd like fresh sheets on my bed, new socks made by Jules and a red teapot.
It's a while off yet, but it can't hurt to put it out there!

Rounding off the week

A snippet of the week that was.
I was happy to visit inspiring BOB Boutique and say hi to the lovely Sonia. Gleaners Inc in Brunswick yielded a beautiful heart necklace -a gift from my love. Ciders at The Union Hotel in Fitzroy. Breakfast at Birdienumnums with a gorgeous little family. A few treasures picked up along the way and of course some street art.

Go on...let me see ya shake those tail feathers!!

Just putting it out there my friends... Burlesque is HOT! On the Melbourne micro-break I decided that visiting this bar to be titillated (pun most definitely intended!), astounded and amazed would be fun on Valentines night.

BOY was I right! The smell of anticipation was more intoxicating than the beautiful cocktails. It was fantastic and oh my stars, very sexy indeed. I've wanted to see Burlesque, now I have. Tick that one off the list... be still my beating heart!

Any questions about any questions for Ben?

Last evening we headed to the movie theatre for date night, we saw this great film;

It has Felicity Ward, the stunning Rachel Taylor who is charming the entire length of the film. Josh Lawson is the sweet Ben. It is a comedy with heart that does an amazing job of showcasing the city of Melbourne.
The soundtrack is awesome too, expect to hear from Silverchair, You Am I, The Zombies, John Butler Trio, Newton FaulknerAngus & Julia Stone and The Dandy Warhols!
Go and see this fabulous film support the AFI!

Headed to a place called love

St Valentines Day is almost upon us.
This week it's been all about the heart at ours. We've set about simplifying things by making plans to take off to where we can...

Enjoy Valentines breakfast served with love

Perhaps an evening stroll here while eating our favourite ice cream then

retire to bed with a sweet heart above made from polaroid pics of our day like this...if we pack blue-tack that is!

Laughter - PRN

Laughing is good for your health. Last night these two enhanced my health somewhat.
We popped the DVD of series One on and watched the fabulous antics of this very irresponsible duo.
I really love Jess and her yellow gum-boots on her bike. As for Josh, he succumbs to her charm every time.
If you haven't had a laugh in ages or are looking for something else to watch due to post Downtown Abbey withdrawals, these guys can be your new friends too!
I got my copy at the ABC section of the local booksellers.
Oh yeah the music is pretty good too!

Clementine the caravan has a new address!

Sunday was a lovely day that made both M and I acutely aware that we have an awesome group of friends.  They all stepped up to the plate with us, digging holes, drilling and sweating to assist in moving Clementine to her new home. She will have a roof over her instead of the unsightly green tarp that's insitu now! We had a nice time, lots of laughs and shared a nice meal together.
Thanks guys, you're all super! xxx

Quick sticks - Let's make a sweet treat

Grandmas make it, young peeps learning the art of  creating culinary delights make it and yesterday I felt compelled to make it too.
It's good old not-many-ingredients-not-much-time-I-can't-wait-for-cooling-down-Hedgehog!

Boy it hit just the spot yesterday for afternoon tea. Sure beats eating an apple! We made short work of half the tray, popped the left overs in the fridge and sent plates home with our mates. I'm thankful it wasn't here when I woke as it's maybe not the best breakfast food going.....
There are 5 ingredients:
250g packet of arrowroot or Marie biscuits
1/2 cup coconut
4 tbs Cocoa
1 x tin condensed milk
50 g butter
Smash up the biscuits, combine dry ingredients, pour in condensed milk and melted butter mix it well. Pop into a slice dry and squish it all down nicely. I use icing sugar, milk, butter and cocoa in the icing I can't state quantities as I go by feel. Spread the icing on top allow to chill for 2 hours(if you can wait that long!) then slice into generous portions and enjoy with a pot of Earl Grey. Bon appetit cherie!
