Feed me!!

     photo9 (1) (478x640)
This was a totally awesome experience that I will always remember. One of the Giraffes was a little cranky and not being very gracious. Her keeper assumed that perhaps hormones were responsible!!!
My apologies for the low quality picture, but it was too good not to share. What zoo animal do you love?

Rad road trips and other cool stuff

This week was the R-adelaide road trip to attend an old school kind of concert.

There were lots of interesting sights, amazing outfits and that was before we entered the venue!!

Of course number 2 was very excited as the tickets were her 14th Birthday present
Pre concert faces - just warming up!

Pre concert drinks - wanted a good old 1980'S Campari but settled for a pint of cider

A much relieved kitty upon our return

The recent adventures of Miss R

I have been too busy with life to keep up with writing my blog so here's an overview of recent goings on...  1800km road trip, no not a terribly enthusiastic op shopping adventure but an adventure none the less.
I had not seen my Father for a very long time, I succumbed to an overwhelming desire to go to him. So, Rosie the Rav and I set off on a chilly May morning. My adventure began with a quick visit to a great little community op shop that was filled with the chatting and giggling of islander ladies. I understood none of the dialouge but could not help chuckling along with them while I shopped.
It was a lovely beginning to what turned out to be a gorgeous trip.

This boy has made a comeback playing for his old team after 4 year break to play basket ball.

Footy is inclusive of but not limited to sore knees, hot pies, canteen duty, over zealous parents, takeaway coffees, lessons in horn honking etiquette and training twice a week. Oh and cheering and clapping for "STENCH"

This was a lovely Chiropractic clinic in the town of Orange I couldn't resist photographing for my friend Nat on my way back to Victoria. I almost wanted to feign a neck problem just to get a glimpse inside this beautiful building.  Fortunately for them they were not open that day! I aim to post more photos and ramblings of my journey of  discovery to NSW and a lesson in self reliance very soon.

Miss red legs, Rosie and the Roadie

This week number 3 and I went on a field trip to South Australia. The morning began with a pleasant car drive, unfortunately dotted with millions of locusts that are currently plaguing the region. Rosie the Rav looked very dirty and covered in locust guts! Sweet things came our way once we started our procuring expedition. The first of many op shops yielded some sweet fabrics and an adorable unfinished long forgotten long stitch of a frog. I was impressed with the 50c racks at a church run op shop (often my most favourite as they are non-corporate and offer the best prices) This one had a sizeable magazine collection also which proved good pickings. I am searching for articles to develop my garden to grow winter vegetables in no dig garden beds, so naturally a pile of home magazines came home with us. Lunch was at an alfresco bakery and we were on the road home shortly after. To break the monotony of the return trip we stopped on the roadside and took some photos, purely for the purpose of amusing ourselves. I managed to capture the most beautiful photo of number 3 and we had a gorgeous day together. Thank you Matilda Violet
